Had he played two or three youngsters (as was expected) he'd have been accused of not taking the cup seriously and deliberately throwing the game. Instead people in the pub beforehand were talking about fielding a strong team and going for it.

Of course we were all hoping that the senior players (plus Carlos "Fraud" Sanchez who is merely senior) wouldn't perform like abject cunts.

We didn't even try. There was zero closing down. At one stage it seemed like we were whacking the ball miles past the right hand post on purpose. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if that Jock poodle coward threw another cup game under the guise of a 'strongest' 11.

That first half from Balbuena & Sanchez may be the worst performances I've ever seen.
I cannot fathom how we don't have young lads who can play and can't put in a better shift than that (Cardoso & Kemp etc)

Feel like the tide is turning over there though, people have had enough.

______

exactly kaka - I think Moyes fucked it up - either deliberately or by accident.

He knows that sanchez is worse than dogshit, and alongside/behind rice with no-one in front of him the ball just wont move. etc etc

Why didnt he start with a stronger side ( noble and antonio f'rinstance) and then bring the younger lads in.

Noone escapes he blame for saturday apart from us long suffering fans

The only highlights were the pissed up blokes behind us wry reflections of the game, life in general and whether Sanchez ever played fro the 4 Tops.

"For as long as the tills are ringing we stand little chance of change".

Exactly. They have their healthy income milking the fans while they bide their time waiting to sell.
Win, win for them.

What hit home to me yesterday was after the game, when fans should be pissed off - there must have been 200 in a queue to get in the club shop - do these people have no pride? - place was full of day trippers taking advantage of £10 tickets - shows what a tough job hammers United have in getting traction beyond the older mob.

I’ve just watched the “highlights” and our players looked like they were on drugs. Especially Sanchez and Diop. I don’t expect anything less from Sanchez, who is surely the worst outfield player we have ever had. But the rest of them couldn’t give a flying fuck about the FA Cup.

We are going to get slaughtered by the Mickeys on Wednesday. I can’t see anyone’s decent coming in. Moyes is about as inspiring as that manager Sunderland had when they got relegated from the PL. It is really surreal at the moment because at least in previous years we got a few panic buys in. This time it looks like everyone is resigned to their fate.

What gets me, and I've seen this a thousand times over the years, is how the players only show any kind of desire and urgency in the last few minutes. Had they shown that commitment from the start they might have got something from the game.

I wished I’d stayed away yesterday, but the lure of the cup, as always got me going over there, like the mug that I am.

Why can’t I just not give a shit about the cups, like the manager and players do?

I would if he didn't buy a ticket for the cup game as he kind of knew the outcome?

Made his decision early, no need to go searching for the obvious until later.

Don’t believe for a moment any season ticket holder wouldn’t check the result of a 3pm kick off until 8pm.

Certainly starting to feel that way Chim

Took my daughter for the second time* yesterday - she had a burger chips and drink outside cost me almost15 quid absolute piss take

Then the team served up that shit afterwards

* first time she went happened to be the 0-3 versus Burnley game ... I’m starting to think she’s not a good omen

Re: ⚽ West Ham v WBA - Official Match Thread
I'm the polar opposite to some of you who are really angry about this game.

I've been a season ticket holder for about 35 years and just didn't bother buying a ticket for this match, fucked off and did something positive on my Saturday afternoon instead. Casually glanced at the result at about 8pm and it was exactly what I expected. Didn't feel any emotion at all.

This isn't the West Ham I grew up loving, it's a corporate entity run by people who can't run corporations. We're as plastic as Chelsea but without the money to buy trophies.

I'm starting to think that I am pretty much done.
